2. Again every comment leans left or right, this is why nothing is ever acomplished. Everyone who disagrees with the right is un american and any one who challanges the left is racist. Untill both sides remove the giant chip on there shoulder nothing will get done. Submitted by: Jeff H
3. You don't want anaheim to be any part of this area. anaheim does not stand for truth and justice. Keep anaheim out of your neighborhood. Submitted by: E4EVEN
4. more police?? free $$$? go ANA even though LC spray paints in my apartment varrio across the street all the time. llevas Submitted by: katella ave.
5. So it's ok for THEM to hold onto to THEIR traditions, but Americans are forced to accept the unwanted changes brought by illegals? Doesn't sound fair. Submitted by: American
6. This goes out to the residents that are in favor of the annexation. When Anaheim offered to incorporate La Colonia, what did they say they were going to do for the community? Will Anaheim be adding more police and fire fighters to cover the new incorporated area? Or will Anaheim just add that new incorporated area to the already existing policing district? If this is the case, how do you think an Anaheim resident would feel if the city was adding more area to cover without adding more officers/fire fighters (doing more with less)? 7. Wow - I didnt know racists could read; just burn crosses. Why is history always negated by the narcissistic present? Lets remember how this great country was created – by and for immigrants. (Well, lets not talk about the indigenous people displaced and annihilated) . Please remember that. Please remember that the country was born through immigration. It prospered because of it and it remains a powerhouse because of it. Put down your Minutemen Times and read a history book, it’s good for you. Well, that is if yo ucould sit through a whole book with out putting on a monster truck show and PBR. Submitted by: Patriotic Citizen
8. This Colonie is not freeloading off of anyone. Taxes that everyone pays knows that and it goes to the County, Anaheim School district and Magnolia. No freeloaders here. This place has very well off owners, they just chose not to live beyond their means. I am even sure there are a few millionaires in this Colony..Many homes have been sold off. If homes are in bad condition that means that they are rentals, and most of the time renters do not care. Rents are not cheap here. Most of the so called gangs are transplants. Not born or raised here. Leaning to the City of Anaheim. Submitted by: Proud American Citizen of The Colony
9. It does make you wonder why Anaheim is/seems so desperate to take on the Colonia. To attempt to pit neighbor against neighbor dangling that "carrot". It is a close knit community with a strong sense of family. There are pros & cons to consider The tactic that Anaheim is taking is wrong.Let them decide as family amongst themselves. 10. If Anaheim took over La Colonia, they would try to de-Mexicanize it, with gentrification and gerrymandering. What Orange County residents don't understand is that The OC will be a Mexican majority within 20 years. The joke is on you, Orange County. Submitted by: Manuel
