Mike Myers to host 2008 MTV Movie Awards

NEW YORK (AP) — Mike Myers will host the 2008 MTV Movie Awards, which will air live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif., on June 1.

This will be Myers' second time hosting the show. The celeb-filled event is MTV's irreverent nod to the typical awards shows. Categories include best kiss, best villain and best comedic performance.

MTV says nominees will be announced in May.

Myers stars in the upcoming film "The Love Guru."
