Art Directors Guild paints five honorees

Production designers tap artists for the ADG Hall of Fame.

The Art Directors Guild will induct five production designers into the organization's Hall of Fame next year.

The honorees are John Meehan ("Sunset Blvd."), Mac Johnson ("Rear Window"), Ted Haworth ("Sayonara"), Romain Johnston ("The Mac Davis Show") and Harold Michelson ("Terms of Endearment").

"The ADG Hall of Fame recognizes the many achievements of those artists who created and evolved the unique discipline of art direction for the moving image," said ADG council chairman Thomas A. Walsh. "Their creative legacy continues to inspire and challenge all of those who have chosen the art of production design as their profession."

The inductees will be honored at the 13th annual Excellence in Production Design Awards ceremony Feb. 14 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
