Now there's hope Shire might receive his first music nomination since he won an Oscar for "It Goes Like It Goes" from "Norma Rae." But the score might be disqualified by the academy due to the film using too much music from the 1960s and 1970s when the Zodiac murders actually took place. According to the academy's Rule 16, "An original score is a substantial body of music in the form of original dramatic underscoring written specifically for the film."
