This three-time Emmy winner ("Roseanne") got her start at the Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago and made her Broadway debut in 1995 with their short-lived production of "My Thing of Love". She returns in triumph and, as the dumbstruck speechwriter for a president played by Nathan Lane, Metcalf once again steals scenes from her oversized co-star.
