Triumphs of 2012

The year offered some impressive moments of human accomplishment that inspired awe and raised the bar on our expectations of what any mind or body can do. Some achievements came from brainy geeks who called every state correctly in the presidential election or landed an unmanned rover on Mars. In other moments, we saw daring individuals walk across water, fall from the sky or run with artificial legs. Apparently, it can all be done.
