A plug too far?

Awards shows like this are nothing but expanded commercials for pretty much everything, so it’s a bit of a mystery as to why Queen Latifah’s  announcement that this year’s ceremony would forego envelopes in favor of the winners’ names printed on Sanyo Zio smart phones (shown with presenter Mila Kunis) left the audience audibly disgruntled. Are the people Luddites at heart?
