Best and worst of the Grammy nominations

With rich and poor Americans alike trying to save, not spend, it seems the holidays couldn't have come at a worse time.

But Mariah Carey and her backup dancers refused to be disheartened by the current economic climate. Carey's Christmas-themed opener featured all the trappings of excess, from fur-trimmed-mini-dresses to shiny red shopping bags. Proving that nothing comes between a diva and her diamond-studded microphone.

Hannibal gets his just desserts and Hanks goes back-to-back.
