Emmy-winning guest stars

Four years after winning the supporting actress Emmy as an always-in-control lawyer on "Sex and the City," Nixon won for her portrayal of a woman struggling to cope with multiple personality disorder on this police procedural drama. Nixon was the third woman to win for guesting on "SVU" following Amanda Plummer (2005) and Leslie Caron (2007). Among her other awards are a lead actress Tony for the 2006 play "Rabbit Hole" and a 2009 Grammy for spoken word for "An Inconvenient Truth."
