Synopsis: Long before he was a household name, Johnny Cash was a door-to-door salesman, a cotton picker and served a stint in the Air Force. It was a hardscrabble existence that he eventually poured into his music. Cash's early years (before he turned 30) are the focus of this biopic, which stars Phoenix as Cash and Witherspoon as his true love and wife, June Carter.
