Bio: Rob Marshall comes to film directing following a distinguished Broadway career, which was spent mostly as a choreographer. In 2003, Marshall earned an Academy Award nomination for best director for his adaptation of the Bob Fosse musical "Chicago" (which he also choreographed). Although Marshall didn't take home a statuette, the film went on to win the Academy's best picture honors and cemented Marshall's reputation as a leading director.
