Bio: Terrence Howard's love of acting was encouraged by his grandmother, New York stage actress Minnie Gentry. After being discovered on a New York street, Howard was cast in "The Cosby Show," and then followed with appearances on "Living Single," "NYPD Blue" and "Soul Food." Howard made his big-screen debut in "Mr. Holland's Opus" and delivered a scene-stealing turn as Cowboy in the Hughes Brothers' film "Dead Presidents."
