But on a bright note, when she is set free, she has a great gig in St. Tropez. She's set to be the face of a canned sparkling wine called Rich Prosecco and, according to the company, will appear at its summer party there when she gets out of the can (sorry). She has a three-to-five-year contract with the company that reportedly includes a share of the company. Canned wine? Classy.

Britney Spears, 25, who was nominated for two MTV Movie Awards for her very first film role in "Crossroads" several years ago, is probably waaay too busy getting her (stage) act together to attend Sunday's show. Or she may be laying low. Very low.

Nicole Richie, 25, was a presenter at the MTV Music Video Awards last year. And she appeared in the MTV Movie Awards Pre-Show back in 2005. Will she make an appearance Sunday? She did show up at Kidada Jones's Disney Coutour event at a Bel Air home yesterday. Kidada's dad, Quincy Jones, is one of Richie's godfathers. The other one being Michael Jackson. Make of that what you will.

But Richie's not out of hot water. Her arrest last December for DUI occurred when other motorists reported her driving the wrong way on a freeway. Some say she's still making wrong turns.

Despite rumors of more treatment for the increasingly emaciated "Simple Life" star, Richie treats anorexia lightly. With this week's web leak of her e-mailed invite to that now-infamous Memorial Day party, she's catching major flak for mocking the national holiday honoring fallen U.S. servicemen and an often-fatal disease.
