Have you heard? Jennifer Lopez might be pregnant.
So far, the
femme fetal hasn't confirmed the rumors. Why should she when all the mystery only helps promote her new album, "Brave"?
But Us Weekly seems pretty sure she's got a baby onboard. The magazine even reported that the singer was expecting twins. And being in the family way would certainly account for all the suspiciously loose, flowing, A-line and high-waisted frocks she's worn lately. She's even been making an attempt to cover up her breasts recently. Could it be because an increase in breast size is an early and usually unmistakable sign of pregnancy?
We can only speculate. But if J.Lo does turn out to be pregnant (and I'm betting she will), she'll join Hollywood's baby boom. And then the fashion pressure begins!
Several newly expectant celeb moms -- Nicole Richie, Halle Berry and Christina Aguilera -- are learning how to handle expanding bellies, swollen ankles and sore backs and still be fashion trend-setters. These pregnant newbies are actually in luck because loose fit, layers and high waists are currently in vogue. And all those revealing, low-waisted, belly-bearing Lycra looks -- thank God -- are terribly passé.
Past preggers, such as Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Garner, Jaime Pressly, Gwen Stefani, Gwyneth Paltrow, Maggie Gyllenhaal and the indefatigable baby-making machine Heidi Klum, are examples of just how great expectations can look.
