OSCARS 2012: Another WEINSTEIN brothers manipulated evening !!!
WEINSTEIN brothers power inside the academy is huge. This is maybe the main reason why GOLDEN GLOBES and OSCARS diverge that much lately.
But, and if you check major winners at THE OSCARS for the last decade, you will find out the same strategy.
WEINSTEIN brothers take an almost unknown movie, mainly low budget, and sign a release agreement that becomes little by little a great release for an independent movie ever, with the final step at the OSCARS ceremony, where the movie gets major prizes.
Check that for the last years and you will see !!!
That is the main reason f.e. why last year GOLDEN GLOBES winner was THE SOCIAL NETWORK, and the OSCARS winner was THE KINGS SPEECH. Or why TOM HOOPER with only one film in his career won an OSCAR while DAVID FINCHER with lots of masterpieces in his career received nothing at the KODAK THEATRE ....
So, the WINNER this year is THE ARTIST
Tree of Life was the worst ever. Don't see how that could get on any list except for Razzies.
