Margolis named director of SAG Awards show
Screen Actor's Guild kudofest will simulcast live on Jan. 28.

Jeff Margolis will direct the telecast of the 13th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards when it is simulcast live on TNT and TBS from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 28th, it was announced today by producer Kathy Connell.
Margolis, executive producer of the show since its fifth year, also has a long-standing relationship with this year's Life Achievement Award recipient, Julie Andrews. He previously directed her 1978 television special "Julie Andrews: One Step Into Spring," as well as her 1989 special with Carol Burnett "Julie and Carol: Together Again." For her part, Connell has produced the SAG Awards show since its inception.
Margolis has previously won two DGA awards for directing the telecast of the Academy Awards, as well as winning two Emmy awards, one for directing the 1995 Oscars and one for producing the special "Sammy Davis Jar's' 60th Anniversary Celebration."
