The A.C.E. Eddie Awards announce nominees
Roderick Jaynes, the pseudonym used by Joel and Ethan Coen when they edit films, was nominated for a 58th Annual American Cinema Editors' Eddie Award today for "No Country for Old Men."
Jaynes, who is described in his biography as a veteran of British cinema known for his "impeccable grooming" and collection of "Margaret Thatcher nudes," previously received an Eddie and an Oscar nomination for 1996's "Fargo."
Joining Jaynes in the best edited feature film dramatic category are Christopher Rouse for "The Bourne Ultimatum," Jay Cassidy for "Into the Wild," John Gilroy for "Michael Clayton" and Dylan Tichenor for "There Will Be Blood."
Vying in the best edited feature film comedy or musical are Michael Tronick for "Hairspray," Dana E. Glauberman for "Juno," Craig Wood and Stephen Rivkin for "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," Darren Holmes for "Ratatouille" and Chris Lebenzon for "Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street."
Nominations were also announced in television and documentary categories. The awards will be handed out Feb. 17 at the Beverly Hilton.
