Beatty to receive Cecil B. DeMille

Actor will be honored at this year’s Golden Globe’s ceremony.

Warren Beatty to receive lifetime achievement award at Golden Globe ceremony. At a press conference Wednesday morning, actor James Caan announced that the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at January's Golden Globe Awards ceremony will be given to Warren Beatty.

Beatty has previously received 5 Golden Globe awards, including Best Actor (Comedy or Musical), Best Director, Best Picture (Drama) and Best Picture (Comedy or Musical). Beatty has previously received a total of 12 Golden Globe nominations. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, who decides the Golden Globes, also named him "Most Promising Newcomer" in 1962.

Other recent winners of the DeMille award are Anthony Hopkins, Gene Hackman, Al Pacino, and Barbra Streisand.

As well, this year's Miss Golden Globe, who assists in the ceremony and is the child of a well-known celebrity, was also announced. This year the honor goes to 16-year-old Lorraine Nicholson, daughter of Jack Nicholson and Rebecca Broussard. Miss Nicholson's feature credits include "Click," "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement," and "Something's Gotta Give."

Previous Miss Golden Globe honorees include Laura Dern, Linda Evans, Ann Archer, and Joely Fisher, Last years honoree was Dakota Johnson, whose mother, Melanie Griffith, had herself once been Miss Golden Globe.

The 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place Monday, January 15th.
